Formby started brightly and were passing the early, a high press put pressure on the St Helens defence and keeper, with the ball falling to Jack and the keeper scrambling back into position the shot was just narrowly wide.
Dan broke through their line and rounded the keeper and although a defender got a touch on the ball was unable to prevent it going in the goal.
Although their were some good passages of play individual errors and then team errors from corners cost us. We went in at half time trailing 7-1. This wasn't reflective of the balance of play

2nd half although there were plenty of changes we caused St Helens lots of problems but the clear cut chances weren't quite happening. A few half chances and a couple of saves prevented us scoring.
St Helens added 1 more goal, again from a corner. With no other clear cut chances due to GK positioning, an massive improvement in defence and a better team effort.

James Hughes I felt had his best game at right back today but I felt there were 3 players in with a shout for player of the match today,
Jonny was heard leading the line, getting many last man blocks in, Ollie Charnock played a number of positions well which didn't phase him at all, This week for his desire, effort and link up play it was awarded to Oliver Kelly.
