The team arrived full of energy for their second match in the 1st Division at the Hightown football league. Sunny skies were very welcome after a wet week.

The team gathered around the tactics board for a pre match talk emphasising the importance of positioning when in possession vs losing possession.

The match kicked off against Active Soccer and the team made a good start with plenty of switching from right wing to left wing. Active Soccer applied plenty of pressure to test Ethan in defence and Wojtek in goal but the Blacks where not easy to beat and managed to keep a clean sheet.

Eventually Dillon entered the game off the bench and opened the score line with a tap in off a parried long range shot from Seb.

Another 3 goals blasted in from Dillon ended the first half 4-0 up for the Blacks.

Our new signing Sonny made his debut for the second half with plenty of dribbling and shooting inches away from scoring. Keep it up Sonny and the goals will come.

A fifth goal toey’d to the upper left corner from Harry then two more from Dillon ended the game 7-0. Well done to Jack, Seb and Ethan for another solid defence keeping yet another clean sheet.

We ended the game praising everyone for a great performance and aim to continue our work on positioning and staying on our toes ready to move at all times.
